Good to know
Transparency becomes a color
JPG can't store transparency. Transparent pixels are filled with white unless you pick another color in Options.
Quality 85 is a good default
It keeps photos sharp while cutting the file size. Go lower for email, higher for printing.
Screenshots may look softer
Small text and sharp lines can blur slightly in JPG. For screenshots with text, PNG or WEBP is often better.
PNG to JPG questions
All questionsWhy convert PNG to JPG?

Will the transparent background turn black?
No. next-convert fills transparent areas with white by default. You can pick any other color under Options before converting.
Does PNG to JPG reduce quality?
JPG uses lossy compression, so some detail is removed. At the default quality of 85 the difference is hard to see in photos.
Can I convert many PNG files at once?
Yes. Drop all of them on the converter, press Convert and download the results one by one or as a single ZIP file.
